Average drive from FLL to MSC Cruises's Terminal AA is 35–45 minutes via I-95 + I-395 on a calm day; on Saturday cruise mornings, plan for an extra 10–15 minutes of buffer.

Plan your timing.
- When you check in through the MSC for Me app, MSC Cruises gives you an arrival time slot for the terminal. Plan to reach Terminal AA 15–30 minutes before that slot: from FLL that means leaving the curb about 58 minutes ahead, or 73 on a Saturday morning.
- Flying in on sailing day? Pick a flight that lands at least 3–4 hours before all-aboard time. If your flight lands late or the weather looks doubtful, arriving in Miami the day before is the safer call — and we pick up from hotels too.
- From FLL the I-95 southbound stretch is the part that varies most. If you can choose, a pickup before 9am or after 11am usually avoids the worst of it.
The drive.
FLL sits about 25–28 miles north of the port. The route runs south on I-95 to I-395 / the MacArthur Causeway, then Port Boulevard. That's 35–45 min in normal traffic and longer at rush hour (7–9am and 4–6pm).
MSC Cruises tips.
MSC's Terminal AA opened in April 2025 and is home to ships including MSC World America and MSC Seaside. MSC prints your terminal on your cruise ticket. If you're one of the MSC Yacht Club guests on MSC Cruises, tell us when you book — you have priority boarding and we'll time your arrival to it. Keep your boarding pass from the MSC for Me app and your passport handy as you step out of the vehicle — it's the first thing the terminal asks for.
