Land at Miami International Airport (MIA), grab your bag, and we're at the curb. We monitor your flight from the moment you book, so a late landing means a late pickup — at no extra charge. Average drive from MIA to Virgin Voyages's Terminal V is 15–20 minutes on a calm day; on Saturday cruise mornings, plan for an extra 10–15 minutes of buffer.

Plan your timing.

1. When you check in through the Virgin Voyages app, Virgin Voyages gives you an arrival time slot for the terminal. Plan to reach Terminal V 15–30 minutes before that slot: from MIA that means leaving the curb about 37 minutes ahead, or 52 on a Saturday morning.
2. Flying in on sailing day? Pick a flight that lands at least 3–4 hours before all-aboard time. If your flight lands late or the weather looks doubtful, arriving in Miami the day before is the safer call — and we pick up from hotels too.
3. From MIA the drive is short, so the real variable isn't the highway — it's the queue of cars into the port on Saturdays between 10am and noon. That's where a driver who knows the terminal saves you time.

The drive.

MIA and PortMiami are about 8–9 miles apart. The usual route runs east on the Dolphin Expressway (SR-836), onto I-395 / the MacArthur Causeway and over Port Boulevard onto the port island. That's 15–20 min in normal traffic.

Virgin Voyages tips.

Virgin Voyages has its own Terminal V, opened in 2022, used by Scarlet, Resilient and Brilliant Lady. If you're one of the RockStar Quarters guests on Virgin Voyages, tell us when you book — you have priority boarding and we'll time your arrival to it. Keep your boarding pass from the Virgin Voyages app and your passport handy as you step out of the vehicle — it's the first thing the terminal asks for.
